RE: 20260175 HURRICANE IAN PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT REPLACEMENT
BID DUE DATE: JANUARY 14, 2026 @ 2:00 PM, EST, ADDENDUM NO. 1
Bidders are hereby notified that this addendum shall be made a part of the above-named proposal and contract documents.
The following is issued to modify, and/or clarify the bid and contract documents. These items shall have the same force and
effect as the original bid and contract documents, and bids to be submitted on the specified bid date, shall conform with the
additions, deletions and revisions listed as herein.
ITEM # 1
CORRECTION: On page 18 Technical Specifications & Conditions, TS-03 SCOPE OF WORK, please
strikethrough the technical specification and replace with:
TS-03 SCOPE OF WORK: The scope of work for the removal, when applicable, and replacement of two (2) existing
playgrounds damaged by Hurricane Ian shall include, but not be limited to, the removal and disposal of existing
equipment/material when applicable, engineering, fabrication, shop time, materials, supply, delivery, and installation of
the equipment in accordance with the specifications attached and outlined below, as well as any incidental costs that
may be necessary for the completion of the project.
Larry Kiwanis Park located at 501 Donora Street, Port Charlotte, Florida 33948:
A. Contractor shall bid a lump sum amount for the cost to supply and install a complete replacement of the
entire playground. Prior to the fabrication and purchase of any materials, the Contractor shall provide the
County with the design and get written approval from the County representative prior to proceeding.
B. Project shall include the following:
1. A replacement playground designed for children aged 2-5 years.
a)
Poured-in-place safety surface of approximately 700 square feet with ribbon curbing.
2. Exercise Station with step up pedestals (complete unit) to include directional signage.
Rotonda Park located at 100 Rotonda Boulevard East, Rotonda, Florida 33947:
A. Contractor shall bid a lump sum amount for the cost to remove the existing swing set and supply and install a
new swing set as shown on picture (1) of the attached damage report. Prior to the fabrication and purchase
of any materials, the Contractor shall provide the County with the design and get written approval from the
County representative prior to proceeding.
This addendum is binding and is to be considered as if contained within the original bid documents of Bid No. 20260175.
Bidders are required to acknowledge receipt of this addendum on their bid forms.
