RE: ADDENDUM #5, BID NO. 20260117, MYAKKA RIVER PARK CONSTRUCTION PHASE 1
Bidders are hereby notified that this addendum shall be made a part of the above-named proposal and contract documents.
The following is issued to modify, and/or clarify the proposal and contract documents. These items shall have the same force and
effect as the original bid and contract documents, and bids to be submitted on the specified date shall conform with the additions,
deletions and revisions as listed herein.
ITEM #1
QUESTIONS/ANSWERS:
Q1: For pay item #25, does this quantity include all rip rap onsite?
A1: For rip rap, the revised quantity is 40 square yards of rip rap. There is 15 square yards of rip rap in
the ditch and 25 square yards of rip rap at the spillway located near the trail head parking (sta 13+00).
Plans will be revised to reflect these revisions. See correction in ITEM #2.
Q2: Pay item #25 looks like we should have 5 14"x23" MES, is this an error?
A2: The plan includes three (3) 14”x23” MES, four (4) 19”x30” MES, and two (2) 24”x38” MES.
Q3: Volume on the legend for 8" CCA base seems light.
A3: The unit for Crushed Concrete Aggregate (CCA) base is in Tons assuming 1.4 tons per cubic yard.
Q4: Pay item #15 seems light, is this quantity correct?
A4: Pay item #15 is for the concrete paths/walkways (6-10 feet wide). The quantity listed is 1,970 square
yards which equates to 17,730 square feet.
Q5: Bank run shell areas show striping & wheel stops. Is this correct? Is the shell area meant to be asphalt?
A5: Bank run shell parking areas will have wheel stops, but will not be striped. The spaces are shown for
dimensional clarity for the purposes of plans review. Shell will not be striped.
Q6: What are the unidentified squares shown by the walking path & handicap parking?
A6: The squares are identified on Sheet 06 as “Trash Receptacles” and will be provided by the County.
Q7: LBR & subgrade plans show LBR 40, usually this is LBR 70. Is this correct?
A7: LBR 40 is for Type B stabilization of subgrade. LBR 70 is used for granular base. The typical roadway
section for Shell Road has been revised to specify Type B stabilized subgrade LBR 40, with 6” of FDOT
Bank Run Shell base.
BID NO. 20260117, ADDENDUM NO. 5
ITEM #2
Q8: Can 8" FDOT bank run shell be used in lieu of 8" CCAA Base for Item #11?
A8: Crushed Concrete Aggregate Base is specified due to the presence of the Seasonal High Water
Table. Bank Run Shell or other Limerock base materials are not considered acceptable alternatives under
Asphalt.
CORRECTION: The page 47 of the **REVISED BID FORM**, line 25 of the Drainage section ‘8’x8’x9” Rip-rap at
existing swale crossing, 11±30’. Please strikethrough the description and QTY (10) and add ‘Rip-rap (9”
thickness) with filter fabric’ and QTY (40).
This addendum is binding and is to be considered as if contained within the original bid documents of Bid No. 20260117. Bidders
are required to acknowledge receipt of this addendum on their bid forms.
