Summary
The purpose of this project is to commission original artwork and related creative assets to support RTD’s Diversity Spotlight initiative for calendar year 2026. The Diversity Spotlight program highlights nationally and internationally recognized cultural, historical, and civil rights observances that align with RTD’s values of equity, accessibility, inclusion, and community engagement.
Background
The commissioned artwork will support select 2026 observances and may include advance development for early 2027 observances to ensure continuity of programming. Deliverables will align with RTD brand standards, accessibility requirements (including alt-text and inclusive design considerations), and established production timelines in coordination with the Civil Rights Division and Marketing & Communications teams.
Artwork supporting Martin Luther King Jr. Day (January 2027) and Black History Month (February 2027) will require development, approvals, accessibility review, and final asset production prior to the start of those observances. To avoid compression of timelines and ensure high-quality deliverables, contract execution is requested no later than mid-December 2026.

Introduction - Welcome to the Pre Bid Diversity Custom Spotlight Artwork meeting. I am Erika Johnson I am the procurement specialist and with me is Gisa Simmons the Project Manager. She will be going over what she is looking for on this project.

Solicitation information - This is a solicitation for proposals for Artwork.
Brief Synopsis of the Project - The Regional Transportation District (RTD), through its Civil Rights Division (CRD), is seeking professional artistic services to support the RTD-branded Diversity Spotlight program. This program elevates key civil rights, cultural heritage, and equity-focused observances through original, inclusive, and accessible visual storytelling that reflects the diverse communities RTD serves.
