Electrical Contractor Services Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program
NOTICE is hereby given that the City of Hattiesburg is seeking a Mississippi State Board
of Contractors license with Electrical classification for the provision of electrical installation,
repair, and replacement services for residential projects funded in part by the U. S. Department
of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Statement of Qualifications will be received until
10:00 A.M., Thursday, April 23, 2026, in the City Clerk’s Office in City Hall.
The above shall be delivered as per detailed specifications on file in the Office of the
Clerk, P. O. Box 1898, 200 Forrest Street, Hattiesburg, MS, 39403 1898, (601) 545-4552, which
may be obtained upon request. Technical assistance is available to all interested parties by
calling (601) 554-1006.
Each PROPOSAL must be received in a sealed envelope which is marked in the lower
left-hand corner with the words “Request for Qualifications: Electrical Contractor Services for
Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)” and the DATE OF BID OPENING (“Thursday, April
23, 2026”).
The purpose of this solicitation is to establish a list of Mississippi State Board of
Contractors licenses with Electrical classification that meet all state and federal requirements to
perform electrical services in compliance with Mississippi law, HUD guidelines, and applicable
building codes. The applicants selected will be part of a pool of Contractors to provide such
services for residential structures. Notwithstanding, the Council reserves the right to reject any
or all bids received and to waive formalities.
