Our system is governed by the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA and the SPOE plays a crucial role ensuring appropriate referrals come to our system). Through this procurement, the OEC will provide one vendor up to $3,250,000.00 in funding over a five-year period to: -Process all identified developmental concerns as part of the Birth to Three referral process. -Connect all children who have an identified developmental concern to a Birth to Three contracted provider within 7-days of initial contact to SPOE. -Provide contact information to the Local Education Agency (LEA) in a child’s town for a special education referral for all children over the age of three. -Refer families for children without developmental concerns to a community-based resources.
