Project Background: Existing roofs are deteriorating and need to be replaced with 3-Dimensional Fiberglass shingles.  The leaking roofs allow water to enter the buildings allowing for degradation to the building and its equipment and supplies that are stored.
Specifications/Scope of Work
Qty 1 John Bryan Maintenance Shop Roof
This roof is approximately 3,458 square feet with an attached shed that has a flat roof that is approximately 135 square feet. Remove and dispose, provide material for Installation of Lifetime Warranty 3-Dimensional fiberglass shingles, with Hip and Ridge shingles. 7/8 Felt staples, Rhino Wrap, Ice Water Shield, Flintastic, Base Sheet, 1 ¼ Inch Coil roofing nails. Install Aluminum 750 Roof vents with Sol Seal 900 silicon. Install 1 ½ inch x 3 Inch aluminum white drip edge. Install 3-inch Fiberglass flashing boots. Replace all the Trim boards with new wood, include in project. Include addition of more vents and their installation to provide optimum ventilation. Be sure to include shipping costs. Work should be completed during the hours of 8 AM to 4 PM Monday thru Friday. ADDITIONAL LUMBER: Please quote per board and by foot for lumber a price to base any repairs necessary from rot upon the removal of the existing roof. This will need to be invoiced separately upon finalization of the project.

This roof is a flat roof is approximately 170 square feet. Remove and dispose, provide material for Installation of Lifetime Warranty 3-Dimensional fiberglass shingles, with Hip and Ridge shingles. 7/8 Felt staples, Rhino Wrap, Ice Water Shield, 1 ¼ Inch Coil roofing nails. Site Visit & Point of Contact
Prior to submitting a bid response, offerors are required to visit the John Bryan State Park Maintenance Shop 3890 State Route 370 Yellow Springs, OH 45387 to inspect and view the items.
Once a contract is awarded, failure of the bidder to have requested a site visit to become familiar with the facility and requirements of the bid will be insufficient reason to support any request to be released from the contract.

P roject Award
For bids involving service projects on DNR property, the lowest apparent bidder will be required to provide 2 examples of similar completed projects including photos.  Provide the person’s name, organization name, phone number and email address for each project example.  In addition, the bidder must complete a pre-award meeting with appropriate DNR staff to ensure that the materials and scope are mutually understood.

Evaluation. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder as determined by the State.
Contract Award. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder by low lot total.  Low lot total will be determined by multiplying the unit cost by the estimated usage listed in the bid and then adding each of the totals together to arrive at a total for all items. Failure to bid all items may result in the bidder being deemed not responsive.
