This solicitation is being issued on an unrestricted basis to allow for full and open competition. The associated NAICS code is 339112. Offerors must be registered in Systems for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov per FAR 52.212.1. All offers must also have a Unique Entity Identification Number at (SAM) at www.sam.gov and be able to submit invoices through Wide Area Work Flow (WAWF). Lack of registration in SAM will qualify contractor as ineligible for award. All responsible sources may submit a quotation in response to this solicitation which shall be considered. The solicitation is being issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) for a firm fixed type contract based on past peformance, technical approach and price. The Naval Medical Research Command (NMRC) intends to award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror. No third party vendors (foreign or domestic) are accepted with NMRC unless otherwise stated.
Naval Medical Research Unit San Antonio (NAMRU-SA) requires a contract for supply of a device/system that meets these requirements: 1) is US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved, 2) creates a calvaria defect, 3) The system is currently in use in hospitals worldwide. Such a device/system is vital to research being performed as a comparison to a new product being evaluated by NAMRU-SA researchers. The contract needs to cover the cost of the shipping, consumables (perforator bits and router bits) and accessories (handpieces, drills, control system and footswitch) of the craniotomy system.
The contract needs to cover the cost of shipping and supplies for a device/system that is FDA approved and is currently in use in hospitals worldwide to create a calvaria defect. The contract should supply NAMRU-SA with 20 individual sterile perforator bits large (14/11mm), 20 sterile 2.3mm tapered router, 2 PI drive motors, 2 Maestro perforator chucks, 2 16mm footed attachment, 1 Core 2 console and 1 Core footswitch.
