IFB-2025-CONSERVATION-0015
LEGAL NOTICE TOWN OF WEYMOUTH INVITATION TO BID

The Town of Weymouth will receive sealed Bids for Old Swamp River Dam Removal Cottage Street Area Water Main Replacement, IFB-2025-Conservation-0015, Weymouth, MA until 11:00 AM prevailing time on Wednesday, June 11, 2025.  All bids shall be submitted to the Town of Weymouth Procurement Office, Town Hall Annex, 111 Middle Street, Weymouth, MA 02189, Attention John MacLeod, Chief Procurement Officer and endorsed as "BID FOR OLD SWAMP DAM REMOVAL PROJECT IFB-2025-CONSERVATION-0015”.

The Work under this contract includes, but is not necessarily limited to, the removal and disposal of the existing concrete dam; removal and disposal of cast in place concrete slabs/walls and drainage piping; removal and disposal of contaminated soils; installation of stone riffle; wetland restoration; and site stabilization. Bid Documents will be made available beginning Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at https://www.accentblueprints.com/ . Prospective Bidders will be added to the “plan holders” or prospective bidders list upon downloading the bidding documents for the project. Copies may be obtained for a fee by completing an order online or by calling 978-362-8038 for each set. Completed orders may be picked up at the office of Accent Printing located at 99 Chelmsford Road, North Billerica, MA 01862 (978-362-8038), from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Copies may also be shipped to prospective bidders for an additional charge to cover handling and mailing fees. All payments for printing and shipping are nonrefundable.  Each individual or firm recorded as having received the contract documents will be notified by email if and when addenda are issued. Hard copies of addenda will not be mailed or faxed to plan holders. Wage rates for this project are subject to the minimum wage rates per M.G.L., Ch. 149, and Sections 26 to 27G, inclusive.

A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at the Project Site located between 97 and 163 Libbey Parkway on Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at 9:00AM.  The municipality strongly suggests attendance at the pre-bid meeting.  Additionally, all bidders are encouraged to visit the site prior to the pre-bid meeting.

Any questions or requests for clarification should be emailed to dgagne@bealsandthomas.com no later than 4:00pm on Friday, May 30, 2025.  All answers will be in the form of an Addendum and sent to all registered bidders by 4:00pm on Wednesday, June 4, 2025.
