26-0160 Supply and Exchange of Shop Rags

The City of Calgary is looking for a vendor managed rental rag program. Shop rags are used by technicians in maintenance shops across several facilities for routine mechanical work, cleanup, and related shop activities. Proponents should assume heavy duty, repeated use in active maintenance bays.

The successful proponent will be responsible for:
- Supplying reusable shop rags;
- Laundering used rags;
- Picking up soiled rags;
- Delivering clean rags;
- Managing rag inventory at each facility;
- Replenishing rag stock to maintain agreed minimum quantities; and
- Replacing rags lost through normal wear, damage, or contamination, subject to agreed shrinkage terms.

Services are usually required on a bi weekly basis and must ensure each location always maintains sufficient operational inventory. The frequency may change depending on the facility requesting the service and will be negotiated with the awarded proponent.

Instructions:
• Bidding documents should be obtained from SAP Business Network.
• Bids are submitted via the SAP Business Network portal found at supplier.ariba.com.
• Suppliers must register on the Ariba portal to submit a bid.
• Hard copies are not accepted .
Failure to submit via SAP Business Network will result in a non-compliant bid.

All questions must be submitted in SAP Ariba through the solicitation message board.
