Project Description: Notice is provided by the Township Secretary that sealed proposals will be received by the Township of Lower Merion for the following:
Fenimore Pump Station Improvements
Contract Number: 24-43-4739-4752
Sealed proposals shall be submitted online via the Pennbid Program (https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com).
Proposals will be received until 11 am, prevailing time, Thursday, December 19, 2024 at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud.
Each Proposal shall be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty as specified in the Instructions to Bidders section of the Bid Document.
A Performance Bond and Labor and Materials Bond in the amount of 100% are required. Also, a Maintenance Bond in the amount of 25% is required.
Bidders may obtain electronic copies of drawings and specifications of this project, at no cost, on the PennBid website noted above.
A non-mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held at Fenimore Pump Station on November 20, 2024 at 9:30 am, for all interested Bidders. The gated entrance driveway is located off of Waverly Road, immediately next to the driveway of 1330 Waverly Road, Gladwyne, PA 19035. (Reference: https://maps.app.goo.gl/DwW1hs3fpXJDRcW57)
In the event of heavy rain / inclement weather, the prebid meeting will be rescheduled to November 21, 2024 at 9:30 am. A notification to all bidders via PennBid will be posted if the rain date is needed.
Scope of Work The work includes, but is not limited to, selective demolition; sanitary sewage bypass; installation of new sanitary forcemain primarily by directional drilling and some areas by excavation; capping and abandoning existing forcemain; replacement of pipe and appurtenances; modification of existing structures; replacement of concrete slab; and site restoration.
Award is planned for late January 2025 with Construction Notice to Proceed planned for March 2025 pending contract execution.
Detailed specifications developed by Pennoni Associates, Inc. Questions regarding the project scope shall be submitted via the “Messages” feature in PennBid. The last day for receipt of written questions is end of business day of Friday, December 6, 2024.
ATTENTION IS CALLED TO THE FACT THAT NOT LESS THAN THE MINIMUM SALARIES AND WAGES AS SET FORTH IN THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS MUST BE PAID ON THIS PROJECT, AND THAT THE CONTRACTOR MUST ENSURE THAT EMPLOYEES AND APPLICANTS FOR THE EMPLOYMENT ARE NOT DISCRIMINATED AGAINST BECAUSE OF THEIR, RACE, COLOR, RELIGIOUS CREED, ANCESTRY, AGE, SEX, NATIONAL ORIGIN, PHYSICAL OR MENTAL DISABILITY, OR BECAUSE OF A PERSON'S SEXUAL ORIENTATION, GENDER IDENTITY OR GENDER EXPRESSION.
