INVITATION FOR BIDS
Sealed bids for Topping Road Improvements Phase 2A – TAP-4900(648) will be received by the City
Clerk for City of Town and Country, 1011 Municipal Center Drive, Town and Country, Missouri, 63131,
until 10:00 AM CDT, July 1st, 2026 in the Community Room at which time the bids will be publicly
opened and read aloud.
The Scope of Work includes sidewalk installation, grading, and storm sewer improvements.
Bid packages are available from the City of Town & Country website at:

Not less than the prevailing hourly rate of wages shall be paid to all workmen performing under this
contract in this area according to the rates determined by the Department of Labor and Industrial
Relations of the State of Missouri.
The City of Town and Country is a tax-exempt entity. A project exemption certificate will be supplied
to the successful contractor.
A bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid amount must accompany each bid in
accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
The City of Town and Country shall award based on the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder that,
in its sole discretion, best meets the interests and requirements of the City. The City of Town and
Country reserves the right in its sole discretion to reject any and all proposals, to waive technicalities
or deficiencies in any or all the proposals, to negotiate with any or all bidders or others for other or
more favorable terms or prices, and/or to award the contract to other than the bidder submitting the
lowest cost proposal, with or without negotiation.
The City of Town & Country hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any
contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, businesses owned and controlled by socially
and economically disadvantaged individuals will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in
response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, religion,
creed, sex, age, ancestry, or national origin in consideration for an award.
The DBE Goal for this letting is 0% of the total contract amount.
