Sealed bids for Pettis County Soft-Match Credit Bridge No. 1080016 Replacement on McCurdy Road & Pettis County
Soft-Match Credit Bridge No. 2250003 Replacement on McVey Road, will be received at: 215 E. 5Th Street, Sedalia,
Missouri 65301 until 10:00 a.m. (Prevailing Local Time) on 16th day of June, 2026 at the office of the Pettis County
Clerk, and then publicly opened at 10:30 a.m. and read aloud at the Pettis County Commission’s Office, 415 S. Ohio
Ave, Sedalia, MO 65301. All bids shall be submitted in the form of hard copies.
The proposed work includes:
The replacement of existing Bridge No. 1080016 with a new 24’-0” span, 5’-9” rise x 31’-6” long bottomless Aluminum
Box Culvert supported on concrete spread-footings with aluminim headwalls and wingwalls, 0 degree skew, 0% grade,
located on McCurdy Road (asphalt) over a Branch to Smelser Creek. This is a Soft-Match Credit Bridge project.

The replacement of existing Bridge No. 2250003 with a new 34’-2” span, 11’-5” rise x 31’-6” long bottomless
Aluminum Box Culvert supported on concrete spread-footings with aluminim headwalls and wingwalls, 0 degree skew,
0% grade, located on McVey Road (asphalt) over Breakfast Branch. This is a Soft-Match Credit Bridge project.

The Commission will award both projects to one(1) contractor. Each project requires separate bid, contract &
construction documents for Soft-Match Credit purposes. Totals for each project must be copied onto the
Combined Bid Form, which will be used for letting and evaluating bids.
Plans and specifications may be viewed or purchased for a Non-Refundable fee on-line at
projectbids.drexeltech.com/projects in their plan room. Additional assistance is available by emailing questions to

Contractors desiring the Contract Documents for use in preparing bids must obtain a set of such documents from Drexel
Technologies; 10840 West 86th Street, Lenexa, KS 66214, telephone number is 913-371-4430. Bidding documents will
be shipped only if the requesting party assumes responsibility for all related charges. Corporate, certified or cashier’s
checks shall be made payable to: Drexel Technologies, Inc.

All labor used in the construction of this public improvement shall be paid a wage no less than the prevailing hourly rate
of wages of work of a similar character in this locality as established by the Missouri Department of Labor and Industrial
Relations (State Wage Rate).
The Pettis County Commission hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered
into pursuant to this advertisement, businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged
individuals will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated
against on the grounds of race, color, religion, creed, sex, age, ancestry, or national origin in consideration for an award.
Contractors and sub-contractors who sign a contract to work on public works project provide a 10-Hour OSHA
construction safety program, or similar program approved by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, to be
completed by their on-site employees within sixty (60) days of beginning work on the construction project.
A certified or cashier’s check or a bid bond in the amount of 5% shall be submitted with each proposal.
The Pettis County Commission reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
The DBE Goal for this project is 0%.
No 2nd tier subcontracting will be allowed on this project.
