  • Summary:The purpose of this project is to extend Government Center Parkway to connect Waples Mill Road (Route 655) with Jermantown Road (Route 6634) in the City of Fairfax, Virginia and Fairfax County, Virginia. It should be noted that the project limits straddle the line between the County and the City of Fairfax. The private street that currently connects to Jermantown, James Swart Circle, will be widened to accommodate the increased traffic between the two thoroughfares. Bike lanes and sidewalks will also be constructed to connect existing facilities.
