Overview
Summary

The City of Bradenton is seeking proposals to provide Construction Management Services for the construction of a 3 million gallon wastewater reject tank and associated pumps, piping, electrical and controls. The manufactured tank shall be connected to the filter bypass and reuse pump basin for use during wet weather events or for off-spec water for return to the treatment for full tertiary treatment when space is available at the plant. The proposers are required to comply with the Scope of Services.

Background

Wet weather conditions are impacting wastewater facilities throughout Florida. With recent storm events, it became more evident the hydraulic loading at the WRF was insufficient for more severe weather events as well as regular convective storms in west-central Florida. The City has several projects to increase the hydraulic capacity at the plant to reduce sanitary sewer overflows and decrease non-compliant discharge events. The reject tank is intended as part of the solution to mitigate some of the excess hydraulic loading.
