Scope Letters of Interest and qualifications statements will be received for architectural and engineering design services for the renovation of approximately 8,700sqft of the First Floor of the Hall Building (formerly the Campus Bookstore) at the Central Campus of Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte, NC. The project will be delivered via the public bid process. Services included but not limited to the following: 1. Architectural Design Services including Schematics, Design Development, Construction Documents, Permitting, Bidding and Award, Construction Administration and Project Close-Out. a. Related Engineering Design Services including Mechanical, Plumbing, Electrical and Fire Protection. b. Owner will engage separate consultants for IT, Security and AV design scopes. Electrical design scope to include needed pathways and terminations. Coordination with these owner consultants by the architect and his consultant team is required. c. Coordination with owner's furniture vendor for workstation placement and related utilities. d. Interior room signage using the college standards will be included in project scope. 2. Project will be standard design-bid-build delivery approach. Project will be publicly advertised and bid. 3. Space to be renovated is the former Campus Bookstore, First Floor of the Hall Building, 1112 Charlottetowne Avenue, Charlotte, NC 28204. Anticipated renovated space is approximately 8,700 sqft.(not the entire available area). Renovations will include new private offices as well as open office workstations, Conference, Break and Work Rooms. See attached plan of existing conditions.

SELECTING CRITERIA The selection committee will take into consideration qualification information including the following factors (Please address each in this order, in your response): 1. Appropriate expertise and past performance on similar projects. 2. Proposed staff and consultant team for the project. 3. Related construction administration capabilities. 4. Proximity to and familiarity with Mecklenburg County and the project location. 5. Record of successfully completed projects without major legal or technical problems. 6. Prior experience with Central Piedmont CC. 7. HUB participation in the design team 8. Other factors which may be appropriate for the project.
