Summary

The City of Pasadena Fire Department is seeking proposals from qualified consultants to conduct a Comprehensive Fee Study for the Fire Prevention / Community Risk Reduction Division. The Department provides critical services including plan review, inspection, code enforcement, hazardous materials oversight, and public safety education.

The purpose of this study is to:

  • Analyze the full cost of providing Fire Prevention services.

  • Evaluate the adequacy of current fees and revenue streams.

  • Recommend a fee schedule that improves cost recovery while remaining transparent, equitable, and legally defensible.
