UNIVERSITY OF NORTH FLORIDA PROCUREMENT SERVICES ITB# ITB 27-03 Central Utility Plant Cooling Tower Water Softener Replacement Project.
The University of North Florida Board of Trustees, a public body corporate, is requesting the services of a qualified Mechanical Contractor, General Contractor, or Plumbing Contractor to complete replacement of the existing cooling tower makeup water softener system serving the Central Utility Plant located on the UNF campus at 1 UNF Drive in Jacksonville, Florida.
Project information
The scope of work includes all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and services required to complete the turnkey replacement of the existing cooling tower makeup water softener system at the University of North Florida Central Utility Plant. Reference the provided scope of work document and bid specifications for the full scope of work.

Advertisement Date	September 17, 2026
Pre-Bid Meeting	September 28, 2026, 2:00 p.m.
Site Visit	September 29, 2026, 2:00 p.m.
Deadline for Questions	October 5, 2026
Response to Questions	October 8, 2026
Bids Due	October 20, 2026, 2:00 p.m.
Responses will only be accepted electronically through the UNF Bid Portal. Responses delivered in-person, by mail, by fax, or by email will be deemed non-responsive.
Bonds & Insurance
The University requires a Builders Risk policy for this project. Additional insurance requirements as provided in the University's Terms and Conditions and resulting contract, if any, will apply.
A Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total contract price is required. The Contract, if over $100,000, will require a 100% Performance and Payment Bond.
