Synopsis:

Submissions marked "RM No. 457 – Bridge 213-46-20 N Replacement over Crooked River Barnett’s Bridge (N 20-46-13 W2M) Tender #RM457-26-01" will be received by the RM of Connaught, via email no later than 2:00 PM CST, Thurs. Apr 23, 2026.

A video conference pre-submission meeting will be held via Microsoft Teams on Apr. 9 2026 at 10:00am CST(SK) for interested bidders. See Instructions for Procurement Part 3 to request an invite by Apr 8, 2026, at 5:00pm CST.

Additional Information:

Major work items include:
· Demolition & disposal of existing 3 span timber bridge & timber deck, removal of piles to 1.5m below grade. Timber stringers & caps shall be carefully salvaged & delivered to Armley SK
· Installation of driven steel pipe piles including Separate Price #1 - Pile Dynamic Analysis Testing
· Placement of concrete for piles & installation of precast concrete abutment caps & girders
· Installation of precast concrete abutment backwalls & wing walls
· Excavation, loading & hauling of cohesive clay & granular materials to the site
· Granular backfill as required for construction of the abutments and wing walls
· Embankment excavation & regrading, erosion control installation including rip-rap, seeding & erosion control blankets
· Fabrication & installation of bridge rails
· Removal of one existing CSP culvert west of bridge, roadwork to increase the road elevation & re-grade the road approaches and ditches on each side of bridge per drawings

Tenders must be accompanied by a bid security in the form of a Bid Bond or certified cheque in the amount of 5% of the Total Payable by Owner listed in Section 00 41 13, Bid Form – Stipulated Price, payable to the Rural Municipality of Connaught and a Consent of Surety to furnish a Performance Bond
and Labour and Materials Payment Bond, each in the amount of 50% of the tendered price. A completed copy of CCDC 11 shall also accompany individual ten
