This Notice of Proposed Procurement has been issued for informational purposes only representing known information at the time of issue. The City of Calgary (The City) makes no guarantee this project will go forward, and it is subject to change. No commitment exists under this Notice of Proposed Procurement, and no competitive bid document or further information is available at this time. If the project goes forward, the competitive bid document will be posted electronically at the City's Contract Management System (SAP Ariba) and Alberta Purchasing Connection in accordance with The City’s standard practice.

The City anticipates seeking consulting services to develop Main Street Master Plans and 30% preliminary design for two corridors: Bowness Road NW and 4 Street NW. It is anticipated that the projects would be procured through a single RFP, with separate consulting teams potentially selected for each corridor.

Calgary's Main Streets are important commercial, community, and mobility corridors that support local businesses, accommodate growth, and foster vibrant public life. Through the Main Streets Program, The City is investing in people-focused streets and public spaces that strengthen neighbourhood identity and support long-term community vitality.

The anticipated scope would include development of a long-term vision and implementation framework for each corridor, integrating public realm, mobility, urban design, placemaking, and utility infrastructure considerations. The work is expected to identify opportunities for corridor improvements, utility coordination and renewal, and future investment to support a realistic and implementable vision for each Main Street.
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CONTACT ANY CITY PERSONNEL REGARDING THIS NOTICE TO AVOID POSSIBLE PRECLUSION FROM BIDDING.
