NOTICE TO BIDDERS

The Mayor and City Council of Cumberland, Maryland are soliciting bids for the project:

ROLLING MILL AREA PEDESTRIAN ACCESS IMPROVEMENTS

CITY PROJECT NO. 2026-04-SHLD

Completed bids shall be submitted to the City of Cumberland’s online solicitation website, until but not after 2:00 p.m., local time, on 4/22/26.  All Bids will be virtually released at 2:00 p.m. on that date and available to view on the website. Released bid information does not constitute any award has been made.

Project description:

This project includes the design and installation of numerous accessible curb ramps and entrances at various locations within the Rolling Mill Area of the City of Cumberland, Maryland. These locations are located along the following streets: Maryland Avenue, Cecilia Street, Williams Street and Park Street.

A "Mandatory PREBID SESSION” for the purpose of answering or obtaining answers to questions of parties interested in performing the work, relative to construction details, will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on 4/1/26 at the Engineering Department Conference Room, Public Safety Building, 20 Bedford Street, Room 336, Cumberland, MD 21502.

A Proposal Guaranty (Bond or Certified Check) in the amount of at least 5% of the total bid shall be submitted with each bid.

The successful bidder will be required to submit a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, for all construction contracts in excess of $100,000, at the time the contract is executed.

The Mayor and City Council reserve the right to waive any technicalities and to reject any or all bids, and to accept any or all proposals which in their judgment is to the best interest of the City.
