Description

Purpose of Procurement
Pursuant to the State Purchasing Act (Official Code of Georgia Annotated 50-5-50 et seq.), this electronic Request for Proposals (eRFP) is being issued to establish a contract with a qualified supplier who will provide the design, setup, and implementation of a Microsoft Fabric-based Data Warehouse/Lake environment to the University of Georgia Office of Institutional Research (the State Entity) as further described in this eRFP.
The engagement will include hands-on co-development, knowledge transfer, and mentoring of Office of Institutional Research ("OIR") staff. The supplier will assist with the design and configuration of a Microsoft Fabric environment in alignment with UGA's data governance, security, and performance standards. This will include fitting the configuration within the existing OIR architecture. a metadata-driven Extract, Transform, and Load ("ETL") tramwork for ingesting on-premises and API-based data sources into Fabric that is scalable to other sources will be co-developed alongside the OIR team. The end result will be an integration demonstration and knowledge transfer, with training sessions to prepare OIR to be self-sufficient within the resulting environment.
