Market Study and Economic Development Strategic Plan

The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to solicit proposals from qualified licensed consultants for economic development services experienced in preparing a Market Study and developing an Economic Development Strategic Plan.

The Town of Herndon is the third-largest town in the Commonwealth of Virginia and home to more than 24,500 residents. Amidst a 21st century Northern Virginia landscape of high-rise buildings, industrial complexes, and transportation hubs, Herndon maintains a small-town charm that is evident in its downtown, its neighborhoods, and its commercial areas.

Located within Fairfax County, the town is just two miles east of Washington Dulles International Airport and 22 miles west of downtown Washington, DC. The Town of Herndon blends the old and the new into a foundation that provides solid support for small, medium and large corporate businesses such as Amazon Web Services, Beacon Roofing Supply, Boeing, Karsun Solutions, Northwest Federal Credit Union, Peraton, and Serco.
