Sealed bids will be received by the Guilford County School System until 2:00 PM on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at

714 Green Valley Road, Room 2A, Greensboro, North Carolina 27408, and immediately thereafter publicly opened

and read aloud for furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary for the Dudley High School

Auditorium Renovation & Roof Replacement project.

Bidders are advised to allow sufficient time for visitor registration and badge issuance. Late bids will not be accepted.

Electronic PDF copies of the bidding documents may be obtained by submitting a request via email to Garrett Spears

at gspears@keiarchitects.com. Electronic bid documents will be provided within 24 hours of receiving the request.

Questions regarding the bidding documents shall be submitted in writing via email to Garrett Spears at

gspears@keiarchitects.com. All questions must be received no later than 5:00 PM on Friday, August 7, 2026.

Responses to questions will be issued by Wednesday, August 12, 2026, in the form of an addendum, if required.

Project Description

The project consists of targeted improvements to the existing school auditorium, including building envelope repairs

and interior renovations within designated areas. The work includes replacement of the existing roofing system over

the auditorium to improve weather resistance and long-term performance, replacement of existing windows serving

the auditorium to enhance energy efficiency, occupant comfort, and resistance to air and water infiltration while

maintaining compatibility with the existing building façade, lighting upgrades to improve illumination quality, energy

efficiency, and functionality, and stage and flooring repairs to address existing wear, improve safety, and support

continued use of the auditorium and stage areas. The project will be awarded as a Single Prime Contract. Substantial

Completion shall be achieved no later than August 20, 2027.

Pre-Bid Conference

A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at Dudley High School

Auditorium, 1200 Lincoln Street, Greensboro, North Carolina 27401. Attendees should meet at the main entrance

of the school. Prospective bidders are encouraged to attend to review existing conditions and discuss the scope of the

project.

Bidders must be properly licensed for the work in accordance with Section 87 of the North Carolina General Statutes.

A 5% Bid Bond and 100% Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds are required for this project. No bid

may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids for a period of 60 days.

E-Verify Requirements: This project requires the awarded vendor to comply with the requirements of E-Verify. (U.S.

law requiring companies to employ only individuals who may legally work in the United States – either U.S. citizens,

or foreign citizens who have the necessary authorization.)

The Guilford County Board of Education awards public contracts without regard to race, religion, color, creed, national

origin, sex, age or handicapped condition as defined by North Carolina General Statutes, Section 168A-3. The Board

reserves the right to reject any or all bids presented and to waive any informalities and irregularities.
