This outreach and engagement is supported by the Urban and Community Forestry (UCF) program at the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). The Early Action Implementation of the CFMP Outreach Project (Services) is a collaboration between the County Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO), Department of Public Works (DPW), Chief Sustainability Office (CSO), Department of Public Health (DPH), and Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR).

The primary purpose of the CFMP is to engage residents and stakeholders in communities in unincorporated areas of the County, particularly those that are historically underserved or disadvantaged, around the importance and benefits of a healthy urban tree canopy. Outreach efforts will inform, inspire, and empower community members to support and participate in long-term tree stewardship.
