Project Description: The Granger-Hunter Improvement District (District) provides water and wastewater services to a population of approximately 130,000 people in a 24.5 square mile area in the central portion of Salt Lake County. The District’s mission is: “Stewards of Water: delivered clean and safe for daily use and collected responsibly to protect public health and the environment.” To meet its mission, the District maintains over 375 miles of waterlines, 300 miles of wastewater collection lines, ten storage reservoirs, eight deep water wells, one groundwater treatment plant, and twelve wastewater lift stations. The District is responsible for the planning, engineering design and construction of its water system and wastewater infrastructure improvements, upgrades, replacement, and other related projects and systems within the District's service area. Visit https://www.ghid.gov/ for more information.
The District is planning to replace the Pleasant Valley Wastewater Pump Station (Pleasant Valley WWPS or pump station) installed in 1979 and located at 6158 West 2920 South in West Valley City, Utah. The existing pump station is capable of 3000 GPM with redundant 12-inch force mains with an average flow of 1200 GPM. The proposed property will be adjacent to the north property line of the existing site (see Appendix 1). It is anticipated that an evaluation will be conducted as part of this work to determine an appropriate pump and well setup. The new pump station will be called the Pleasant Valley Pump Station.
This Request for Statement of Qualifications (RFSQ) is part of a competitive procurement process to select Design Professional Services which helps to serve the best interests of the District and its customers (Utah Code 63G-6a-15). It also provides each respondent with a fair opportunity for its services to be considered. As such, do not include a scope of work or fee proposal at this time. All information submitted in the RFSQ is subject to the Utah Governmental Records and Management Act (GRAMA).
