Sealed proposals for the “Museum Roof Renovations” project will be received by the Borough of Sellersville, Bucks County, Pennsylvania, via PennBid, until 10:00 A.M., prevailing time, on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at which time all bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud at the Borough of Sellersville Office, 120 East Church Street, Sellersville, PA 18960.
Work under the base bid to include removal and proper disposal of existing slate roofing and slats and installation of new plywood sheathing, roofing paper, flashings, slate roofing and ridge rolls. Work also includes repairs and painting of bell tower and painting of existing dormers including windows and soffits. Work under alternates includes painting of remaining windows and entranceway and brick pointing.
Bids will be administered via PennBid. Complete sets of contract documents are available via www.PennBid.net. The successful bidder who is awarded the contract will be required to pay "PennBID" a fee in accordance with their established fee schedule.
Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid, made payable to the Borough of Sellersville.
Award of Contract, if a Contract be awarded, will be to the lowest responsible bidder, but the Owner reserves the unqualified right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities.
The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Performance and Payment Bonds, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price with a corporate surety approved by the Owner.
The work in connection with this project constitutes a Public Works by a Public Body project. Bidders are advised that prevailing minimum wage rates, as set forth in the Contract Documents, must be paid to workmen employed on this project. In addition, the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, age, color, religion, sex, national origin, or disability.
The Borough of Sellersville reserves the right to reject any or all Bids or to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bidding when, in the opinion of the Borough, such rejections or waivers shall be to its interest or advantage.
Prior to awarding the contract, bids may be held by the Borough of Sellersville for a period not to exceed (60) days from the date of bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders.
All bidders are invited to attend a Pre-bid Meeting to be held at 10:00 A.M. (prevailing time) on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at the Borough of Sellersville Office, 120 East Church Street, Sellersville, PA 18960. The meeting will be followed by a tour of the project site, if requested. Attendance is not mandatory.
