Solicitation Summary
The County Commissioners of Kent County, Maryland, are soliciting proposals from qualified vendors to provide food catering and cafeteria services for incarcerated individuals at the Kent County Detention Center (KCDC), located at 104A Vickers Drive, Chestertown, Maryland. The resulting contract is anticipated to be for a five (5)-year term .
A pre-proposal conference will not be held.
All questions concerning this RFP must be submitted in writing or via email to Shelley Heller, County Administrator, at sheller@kentgov.org, no later than 4:00 p.m. on February 12, 2026. Responses to questions will be issued by written addendum.
Sealed proposals must be received no later than 10:00 a.m. on February 20, 2026 , and will be publicly opened at that time at the Kent County Department of Public Works, 709 Morgnec Road, Chestertown, Maryland 21620.
Late proposals will not be accepted. Kent County reserves the right to reject any or all proposals.
