Description
The foremost objective of the janitorial cleaning services is to keep the identified premises clean, sanitized, and safe. Such services not only enhance the aesthetics of the Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) and Canadian Coast Guard (CCG) facilities but also safeguards the health of employees and any visitors to the facilities. The janitorial cleaning services contributes to maintaining a clean workspace that fosters productivity, motivation, and concentration in employees, promotes a sense the facility is cared for to deter criminal behavior and prevent crimes, and creates a welcoming atmosphere for visitors and the general public for whom our department serves.
The janitorial cleaning services being solicited must be provided Monday to Friday after normal operational hours of the base. In other words, services must be provided between 5:00pm to 7:00am Mountain Daylight Time (MDT). Services may, on occasion, be provided during DFO and CCG business work hours (7:00am to 5:00pm MDT) by mutual agreement between the contractor and DFO’s Technical Authority. Work outside these hours must not be compensated.
The estimated contract period will be 14 month(s), with a proposed start date of 2025/01/02.
