Pool Deck Renovation at Crescenta Valley High School

TO: PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS

This Addendum supersedes, supplements and has precedence over all portions of the

bidding documents with which it differs. Acknowledgement of this Addendum is

required in the Bid Form in the space provided. Failure to acknowledge and respond to

any addenda issued by the District may, in the District’s sole discretion, render the

Bidder to be deemed non-responsive or incomplete.

Project Duration

The Contractor shall achieve Substantial Completion of the Project within six (6)

consecutive calendar weeks from the date identified in the Notice to Proceed (NTP),

unless otherwise extended in writing by the District.

Liquidated Damages

Failure to complete the Work within the Contract Time, including any approved

extensions, shall result in the assessment of Liquidated Damages in the amount of One

Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($1,500.00) per calendar day for each day completion

extends beyond the required completion date.

Contractor Licensing Requirements

Bidders shall meet the following minimum licensing requirements at the time of bid

submission and throughout the duration of the Project:

● Hold a valid California contractor’s license in one of the following classifications:

○ Class A – General Engineering Contractor

○ Class B – General Building Contractor

○ Class C-53 – Swimming Pool Contractor

○ Class C-8 – Concrete Contractor

● Contractors bidding under a Class A or Class B license shall engage a

subcontractor holding a valid C-53 or C-8 license for all swimming pool-related

and concrete-related scope of work.

● Contractor shall be an approved and certified ARDEX installer, or shall utilize an

authorized, approved, and certified ARDEX subcontractor for the installation.

● Bid Due Date and Time is May 27, 2026 at 1 PM.
