Purpose of Procurement
Pursuant to the State Purchasing Act (Official Code of Georgia Annotated 50-5-50 et seq.), this electronic Request for Proposals (RFP) is being issued to establish a contract(s) with a qualified supplier(s) who will provide Medium Voltage Distribution Maintenance services to the Kennesaw State University (the State Entity) as further described in this eRFP.
Statement of Work (SOW)
SOW outlines the requirements for the monthly, annual, and as-needed preventive maintenance, repair, and emergency response services for medium voltage systems, including transformers, switching cubicles, underground manholes, and wiring on university property.
Maintenance, repair, and installation of KSU-Owned medium voltage power distribution system on the Kennesaw campus to include wiring, transformers, switches, connectors, etc.
General Information
The State Entity is seeking multiple suppliers to provide all labor, tools, materials, equipment and services necessary for the inspection and testing of medium voltage electrical distribution equipment to verify serviceability, identify repair required and to provide a detailed report on the condition of the equipment on university at both the Kennesaw and Marietta campuses..
The State Entity invites experienced, financially secure, and reliable companies to submit proposal responses for medium voltage distribution maintain and repair services across both campuses. Contractor(s) shall be available to perform these services throughout the week and at the times requested by the University, to include Saturdays, Sundays, Holidays, and during an emergency. Other departments on both campuses may use this contract, although there is no guarantee of additional work.
It is the intent of the State Entity to award multiple contracts (a minimum of 3-6) for the initial term of one (1) year with four (4) one (1) year option(s) to renew, which options shall be exercisable at the sole discretion of the State Entity.
