The Subcontractor shall prepare surfaces for patching and painting in accordance with industry standards. This shall include, but is not limited to: inspecting and approving surfaces prior to paint, patch or repair, wall prep for all areas to be included along with surface protection at carpet, base, grid, cubicles, and frame; prescribe a methodology for measuring surfaces for the purposes of estimating and submitting proposals for painting and repairs.
Fire barriers are a critical component of a building’s passive fire protection strategy and may be included in the building construction for various reasons. To maintain the required fire-rated separation between occupancies or areas, damaged systems must be repaired so that they are restored to their original fire-resistive condition.
