ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
NOTICE is hereby given that the Canton Municipal Utilities, (CMU), will receive written
sealed bids until the hour of 10:00 o'clock a.m. local time, on October 6th, 2026 at the CMU
office, 127 W. Peace St., Canton, Mississippi 39046, for the furnishing of all labor for the
construction of that certain project designated as October 2026 through September 2027 "UNIT
BID CONSTRUCTION QUOTATION".
Copies of the contract documents and specifications may be obtained from Canton
Municipal Utilities, 127 W. Peace St., Canton, Mississippi 39046, upon payment of $100.00 for
each set, none of which is refundable.
All bids received will be publicly opened and read on October 6th, 2026 at the regular
meeting of the CMU, which begins at 3:30 p.m. and considered by the CMU Board at a Regular
Meeting thereafter to be held within thirty (30) days of the date of receipt of bids.
Award, if made, will be made from the lowest and best bidder. The CMU Board
reserves the right to reject any and all bids. 5 years minimum experience installing
water and sewer lines up to 30" in size and gas lines and infrastructure including lift
stations is required.
