Title: Rural Transit Assistance Program (RTAP)

Bid Synopsis: The Department is seeking a contractor to administer the Wisconsin Rural Transit Assistance Program (RTAP). This program is intended to provide services that enhance the competence of rural transportation providers
throughout Wisconsin. The providers targeted for these services include demand-response and fixed route bus
services, shared-ride taxi programs, volunteer driver programs, work centers and medical providers.

Primary tasks under the ensuing contract are:
•        conducting relevant training courses,
•        administering a training/professional development scholarship program,
•        maintaining a program website.

Secondary tasks are:
•        conducting an annual needs assessment to guide future curricula,
•        developing new training materials as needed.

Contractor-provided training will be scheduled through consultation with WisDOT and stakeholders and will occur at various locations around the state to accommodate stakeholders. The trainings may be in person or virtual/online/multimedia training.
