STATEMENT OF OBJECTIVES (SOO)
Summary of Work: Cleaning of HVAC ductwork in the U.S. Forest Service Supervisor Office, located at 605 West Main St. Russellville, AR. 72801.
The contractor will provide all labor, tools, equipment, and materials to perform the following work on 12 HVAC units.
Remove, clean, and reinstall all supply and return registers.
Place ductwork in negative air pressure with HEPA filter negative air vacuum.
Clean critical HVAC unit components such as blower motors, evaporator coils and plenum.
Mechanically scrub and/or air whip all supply and return ductwork.
Treat any supply or return ductwork with signs of mold with Sporicidin antifungal disinfectant or approved equal.
PROJECT COORDINATION
Notify Contracting Officers Representative (COR) with the USDA Forest Service, 5 days prior to start of work. Timing of the work will be coordinated with the COR to minimize disruption to daily operations. Possible weekend cleaning will be needed. The contractor will perform the work in a manner that will protect the safety of public and employees. Access to the building by F.S. personnel may be necessary during cleaning activities. Necessary steps will be taken to ensure the safety and preservation of all Forest Service property inside the building.
Contractor will follow the standards for HVAC system cleaning set by the National Air Duct Cleaners Association (NADCA). Certification by the NADCA is recommended.
