Requirement

The National Research Council Canada has a requirement to provide technical investigation to assess risks posed by commercial Unmanned Aerial vehicle (UAS) and to determine specifications of counter-UAS platforms. In addition, if the investigation finds that existing off-the-shelf products cannot meet the specifications as an adequate counter-UAS platform, work is needed to access the potentials of a proprietary UAV architecture as a counter-UAS platform, in accordance with Patent filing PCT/IB2024/050257, and to determine direction of future technology developments to achieve target specifications as a high-performing counter-UAS platform.

Note to Suppliers

An ACAN will be posted on CanadaBuys.gc.ca for a period of 15 days, allowing other suppliers to signal their interest in bidding, by submitting a statement of capabilities. If no supplier submits a statement of capabilities that meets the requirements set out in the ACAN, on or before the closing date stated in the ACAN, the contracting officer may then proceed with the award to the pre-identified supplier.

Statement of Capabilities

Suppliers who consider themselves fully qualified and available to provide the goods, services or construction services described in the ACAN may submit a statement of capabilities in writing to the contact person identified in this notice on or before the closing date of this notice. The statement of capabilities must clearly demonstrate how the supplier meets the advertised requirements.

Inquiries

To ensure a response before the ACAN closing date, all enquiries about this requirement must be submitted in writing and received by the Contracting Authority at least five (5) calendar days prior to the ACAN closing date.
