Scope of Work: (Contractor must obtain and submit all permits prior to performing any work). The Project consists of performing a cut-in connection of a WASD furnished 96-inch Flange Butterfly Valve and short PCCP pipe lengths on SW 123 Ave just south of SW 72 ST. The work includes, but is not limited to, removal of two existing 96-inch pipe lengths; installation of large diameter butterfly valve; installation of WASD furnished 96-inch short pipe lengths and closure (40.10 LL); exploratory excavation; installing 72-inch linestop at the well field; installing short PCCP lengths, flange joint materials and closure furnished by the Department; furnishing and installing pipe restrainment; demolition work; transportation and handling costs of delivering valves from storage facilities; excavation; field locating existing utilities; pavement restoration; coordination with plant operations and water distribution; traffic control; constructing access manhole for the valve operator; constructing access manholes above existing underground flange outlets on the 96-inch short lengths; furnishing and installing concrete slabs for the valve support; dewatering the pipeline; dewatering groundwater; testing the valve; and all other miscellaneous and appurtenant items for a complete installation. LICENSES REQUIRED: Prime: General Engineering, Pipeline Engineering Contractor and Underground Utility / Excavation Sub: Paving MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 10 years’ experience performing pipeline installations Prime Contractor on at least two projects where reinforced concrete pipe 42-inch and larger was installed. Key personnel such as crew supervisor, foreman and equipment operators worked on 42-inch reinforced concrete pipe. They have installed at least 1,000 LF of Pre-Stressed Concrete Pipe (PCCP) with a minimum diameter of 42-inches within the past 10 years.
