Bids are for furnishing all work and materials for 1.24 miles of raw watermain construction including reconstruction and mill and overlay of the impacted streets in Hastings. For an online bidding fee of $42.00, all bids must be submitted ONLINE THROUGH QuestCDN.com and include the proposal forms furnished with the plans and specifications including completed forms certifying that the bidder is a responsible contractor per MN Statute 16C.285. No bid will be considered unless filed ONLINE with the bid bond, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into a contract to perform said work. These bid bonds of the three lowest bidders will be retained until a contract has been awarded and signed by all concerned, but no longer than 60 days. All others will be returned within 7 days after the opening of bids.
The bids for the work to be done shall be submitted upon the basis of cash payment for the work. No bidder may withdraw their bid for a period of 60 days after the date shown for opening thereof. The City of Hastings reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, waive informalities therein. |
