Community Mental Health Loan Repayment Program: Psychiatrists and Advanced Practitioners - 2025

NYS Office of Mental Health has issued a Request for Application (RFA) for the Community Mental Health Loan Repayment Program: Psychiatrists and Advanced Practitioners (CMHLRP 2025 Prescriber RFA).

This RFA is open to agencies that provide eligible community mental health programs licensed/authorized by OMH who wish to offer student loan repayment to eligible new or existing psychiatrists and advanced practitioners (psychiatric nurse practitioners and psychiatric physician assistants).

CMHLRP award amounts will be based on the eligible professional's clinical capacity schedule at the applicant agency's eligible program(s).

Agencies may apply on behalf of eligible professionals who are tracking payments toward Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) who will have at least 40 payments remaining before forgiveness as of 12/21/25.

Webinars will be held on 8/26 from 12:00-1:15 PM and 9/18/25 from 8:45-10:00 AM.
