Overview
The work proposed includes replacing the existing MXL Siemens panel and management stations equipment with the Siemens XLS platform or equal, including all necessary *permits, fees, materials, equipment, labor, and related items to upgrade the fire alarm system in the County-City Building located at 930 Tacoma Ave. S. Tacoma, WA 98402, the Main Jail located at 910 Tacoma Avenue South, Tacoma, WA 98402, and the 02 Jail located at 701 Nollmeyer Lane, Tacoma WA 98402.
The contractor is responsible for any bidder design, specialty, or other permits required for this project and shall include such fees in the bid.

Pre-Bid Walk-Through (Non-Mandatory):
November 1, 2024, 9:00am
Walk-through will start at the Main Jail outside of lobby at 910 Tacoma Avenue S, 98402. The walk-through meeting is anticipated to take approximately 2.5 hours and will include a tour of all areas involved in the project. Those planning to attend the walkthrough meeting will need to bring proper photo-identification with them to the walkthrough as they will be required to sign into the secured jail facility. If you have a question about what constitutes proper identification, please call 253-798-7223. Tape measures and cameras will be allowed (no photos of inmates allowed), but no other tools may be brought into the Jail for the walk-through meeting. Please be on-time to the walkthrough as entrance into the secure facility will not be granted to contractors once the walk-through meeting has started.
