Description:

The Work under this Project: generally consists of removal of existing pavements by cold planing (milling), placement of asphalt concrete pavement, placement of pavement fabric geogrid at specific locations, and miscellaneous work including but not limited to utility adjustments and pavement markings within certain public rights of way of the City of Williamsburg. Also included is reconstruction of non-compliant curb ramps, concrete sidewalk and curb & gutter repairs identified in the Project Specific Provisions. Wavetronix signal detections systems will be installed along the Richmond Road section of the project at three (3) signalized intersections.

Qualifications:
This project shall be constructed in accordance with: the plans; the Virginia Department of Transportation Road and Bridge Specifications, dated 2020; and the Virginia Department of Transportation Road and Bridge Standards, dated 2016 and revised May 2020; the Virginia Work Area Protection Manual (Revision 2), dated September 1, 2019; the 2009 edition of the MUTCD; the 2011 Virginia Supplement to the MUTCD; and Supplemental Specifications, Special Provisions and Special Provision Copied Notes in this contract.
Special Requirements:
Sealed Bids Will Be Received Until the Date and Time Noted Above for Furnishing the Goods/Services Described Herein And Then Opened In Public.

Written questions related to the project will be accepted up to ten (10) calendar days prior to the closing date; it is the City’s discretion to respond to any inquiries beyond this time. Emails are an acceptable form of written documentation.
