Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE PROCUREMENT: Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, it is the Government's intent to award a sole source service contract to the Sandoval County Sheriff's Department, Bernalillo, New Mexico, a Government Organization, for Law Enforcement Services at Cochiti Lake and Tetilla Peak Recreation Areas. The objectives of this requirement are to provide a welcoming and safe recreational environment for visitors, contractors, and employees; to ensure that the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) has law enforcement agents to enforce all laws and regulations to the maximum extent warranted by law and to properly address criminal activity.



THIS IS NOT A FORMAL SOLICITATION.



This synopsis is not considered a Request for Quotation or Proposal. No solicitation document is available, and telephone requests for a copy of the solicitation will not be honored. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. All responses received within 15 days will be considered. If no affirmative written response is received, the service contract will be awarded without further notice.



A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed service contract is based on the authorities necessary to provide law enforcement services in Sandoval County, New Mexico.



A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement is based upon the fact the Sandoval County Sheriff’s Department meets the requirement as dictated under



FAR 6.302-1.



Award of this service contract will be based upon the possible responses to this notice, and is solely within the discretion of the Government.
