Plain Old Telephone Service (“POTs”) Assessment and Improvement Program
Description:

The New York Power Authority (hereafter, the "Authority" or "NYPA") invites you to submit a proposal to furnish all supervision, labor, materials, and equipment—except for services, materials, and/or equipment to be furnished by others as specifically referred to in the contract documents—for the following project. This Request for Proposal (RFP) seeks the following:

NYPA seeks a comprehensive assessment of its POTs infrastructure to inform a long-term telecommunications technology roadmap. As legacy copper networks are phased out by providers, NYPA’s IT department has encountered challenges in managing existing POTS lines and planning their migration to modern solutions such as broadband. This Request for Proposals (RFP) invites a qualified consultant to evaluate current POTS infrastructure and services, develop a strategic migration plan to advanced technologies, and outline implementation steps to include billing and management of advanced services.

Location of Event: Enterprise wide NYPA and Canals

Proposed Term: (1) Year

Bidders must possess relevant experience and are advised to visit www.nypa.gov for instructions on participating in the bidding process via Ariba. Bid documents obtained outside of NYPA’s Ariba platform are used at the bidder’s own risk. Detailed qualifications and requirement information is provided in the Bid Documents. This contract may be executed through a subcontract, joint venture, or co-production arrangement.
