Bid Type: Request for Proposal Locations: State-Wide Keywords: Research and Development, Consultant Services, Media, Publisher, Public Communications, Environmental Conservation, Environmental Consultant Services Bid Description: VNRC is seeking assistance in the development of a forthcoming publication to assist forest landowners in Vermont to make informed decisions about the stewardship and management of their land. Part of the publication will address the history of our forests, including background recognizing that our forestlands were the traditional homeland of indigenous peoples including the Abenaki and Wabanaki people. The guide will also include background about how land ownership in general involves multiple considerations that require careful attention such as individual property rights, public interest considerations (such as public trust resources), and diversity and equity considerations (such as how to promote equitable access to forestland, land ownership opportunity, and supporting historically marginalized or disadvantaged communities who face barriers to land access and ownership). We are looking for a consultant to draft relevant sections of the publication addressing diversity, equity and inclusion, and inform the overall content of the publication with equity considerations in mind. We are anticipating this work will take between 35-56 hours between November 2024 and February 2025. Provide a resume and letter outlining qualifications, familiarity with the topics outlined in the RPF, and a proposed budget for the project. Submit written proposals to aconnizzo@vnrc.org by Friday, November 8th. Contact Jamey Fidel at jfidel@vnrc.org with any questions.
