TDEM-RFP-1522 Single Sign On for PIV-I

The Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) through this solicitation is requesting proposals for a

Contractor to recommend, implement and maintain a single sign on solution that will use Personal Identity

Verification -Interoperable (PIV-I) cards as the main login source but also with a secondary login solution with

multifactor authentication capabilities. The nature of TDEM’s emergency management mission requires that

the SSO solution be highly available and operational 24/7/365.

TDEM’s internal staff will be responsible for administering all SSO user accounts and all integrated

application permissions. The contractor will be required to collaborate and work with the TDEM PIV-I

program manager, TDEM’s PIV-I vendor and all TDEM Stakeholders. The TDEM PIV-I program has 16,000

plus issued cards that will need to access the SSO solution and all authorized applications.
