Boulder County is committed to advancing transportation safety and equitable access for youth and families through a Vision Zero framework. Building on past transportation safety efforts, this Vision Zero Safe Routes to School Action Plan will serve as a roadmap for identifying and prioritizing infrastructure improvements and programmatic strategies that make walking, biking, and rolling to school safer and more accessible for students across Boulder Valley School District (BVSD) and St. Vrain Valley School District (SVVSD).
The purpose of this project is to create a data-driven, equity-centered plan that reflects the lived experiences and needs of youth, caregivers, and school communities—especially those in historically underserved areas or facing elevated safety risks. Through meaningful community engagement, rigorous data analysis, and strategic implementation guidance, the action plan will support the County’s goals around public health, climate action, and transportation equity while aligning with broader regional Vision Zero initiatives.
Please do not include pricing. It will result in the disqualification of the proposal. Once a vendor is selected based on qualifications, the county will enter into negotiations on pricing.
