Sealed bids will be received by the Board of Supervisors of CLAIBORNE COUNTY,
Mississippi until 9 a.m., Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at the Chancery Clerkâs office of Claiborne
County, Mississippi at 510 Market St., Port Gibson, MS 39150, (601) 437-4992 for supplying all labor
and materials necessary for the proposed EWP Project No. C211 work (described here under) to be carried
out with funding from National Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) and supplemental funds from the
Claiborne County.
Bidders must be qualified under Mississippi Law and have a Certificate of Responsibility
issued by the Mississippi State Board of Public Contractors.
The project consists of slope stabilization, slope grading, and installation of loose
riprap. All works shall be carried out as per Standard Specification for State Aid Road and Bridge
Construction of the Mississippi Department of Transportation and the Federal Highway
Administration.
The entire project must be completed within 60 calendar days and the liquidated damages
will be $200 per consecutive calendar day past the approved completion date.
Submitted Bids will be publicly opened in the Claiborne County Board Meeting at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday,
January 20, 2026.
Copies of the drawings and specification, including the contract Documents may be
obtained from the office of IMS Engineers., 126 E. Amite Street, Jackson, Mississippi 39201, upon payment
of $100.00 (One Hundred Dollars only) for each set, none of which is refundable. The payment shall be in
form of certified banker check in favor of IMS Engineers, Jackson, MS. If the bid documents shall be
mailed, an additional $10.00 is required for covering the mailing charges. Bids will be mailed through first
class mail on the second working day after receiving the payment. Neither IMS Engineers nor the
CLAIBORNE COUNTY is responsible or liable for any delays in mail deliveries. Please contact via email,

Engineers to schedule a date and time to purchase plans and specifications.
Bids shall be submitted in duplicate only upon the blank bid forms provided with the
specifications and must be accompanied by Bid Security in the form of Certified Check or acceptable Bid
Bond in the amount equal to at least five percent (5%) of the Base Bid. Such security to be forfeited as
liquidated damages, not penalty, by any bidder who fails to carry out the terms of the bid, execute contract
and post-performance bond in the form and amount within the specified time.

The project is being carried out by the Claiborne County Board of Supervisors with funding from
National Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) and supplemental funds from the Claiborne County. All
requirements under the program that are imposed on the Claiborne County (as the Grantee) by NRCS (the
Grantor) are applicable to this project and the Contractor shall abide by all requirements as those required
by the Grantee. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities. Bids on
the Project must be received on or before the period scheduled for the Project and no bid can be withdrawn
after the scheduled closing time for the Project for a period of sixty (60) days.
The Board of Supervisors reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
