REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
Department of Public Works Site Improvements OFFICIAL NOTICE REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATION PROPOSALS REQUESTED: Formal proposals, will be received until 4:00 PM, Monday, July 7, 2025 by the City of Wauwatosa Purchasing Manager, at 7725 W North Avenue, Wauwatosa, WI 53213. Submittals received will be forwarded to an internal selection team for review. Note: This is not a public bid opening. The City of Wauwatosa is requesting proposals from well qualified architectural/engineering consulting firms (Vendor/s) to provide services for the redevelopment of an area of the City’s Department of Public Works property. The work completed through this process will provide detailed plans and specifications to proceed with procurement and/or public bidding to allow for the redevelopment of a portion of the City’s Public Works property. The City’s Public Work’s site has many varied uses similar to other Department of Public Works properties. The City has budgeted for redevelopment of a portion of the Public Works site to include a new automated vehicular wash station, replacement of a stone/gravel storage facility, replacement of a truck scale and the redevelopment of the residential drop-off center, including the installation of a refuse compactor/s. It is assumed the current fuel station, police facility, and salt dome will remain in place. This work must be designed in contemplation with the potential extension of Walnut Road which will alter the way public traffic interacts with the future entrances to the Public Works property in accordance with this Official Notice and Request for Proposal dated May 19, 2025.

All proposal prices shall be firm for the life of the contract subject to acceptance of proposals within sixty (60) days from the date of opening. Written prices to govern. • June 9, 2025 – 4:00 PM Questions/Clarifications due
• June 12, 2025 – 4:00 PM Distribution of Answers to questions received
• July 7, 2025 – 4:00 PM Proposals due via Email
• July 22, 2025 Tentative Consultant Contract Award
• Mid-August, 2025 Kick Off Meeting with City Staff Proposer certifies that their proposal has been made without connection to any other vendor and is, in all respects, fair and without collusion or fraud, and is made with the understanding that no elected official or Wauwatosa City employee has an interest, directly or indirectly, unless otherwise stated. PATENTED DEVICES, EQUIPMENT AND PROCESSES: It is understood and agreed that without exception, bid prices include all royalties and costs arising from patents, trademarks, and copyrights. The successful bidder shall, in all cases, indemnify and save harmless the City of Wauwatosa from any and all claims for infringement by reason of the use of any such patented design, device, material, or process to be used or delivered, and shall indemnify the said City of Wauwatosa for any cost, expense, and damage which it may be obliged to pay by reason of such infringement, at any time during or after delivery. Questions concerning this proposal request will be received through Monday, June 9, 2025 at 4:00 PM. Submitted questions can be directed to Laurel Schleimer, Purchasing Coordinator at lschleimer@wauwatosa.net Please include “Questions/Clarifications-Department of Public Works Site Improvements” in the subject line. Answers to questions received will be distributed to all RFP holders of record by 4:00 PM on Thursday, June 12, 2025. Proposers are not permitted to contact City Council members or other City staff for clarification of the RFP. Any such contract may disqualify the vendor from evaluation.
The City of Wauwatosa reserves, exclusively to itself, the right to reject any or all proposals, or to accept the proposal deemed most advantageous to the City and to waive any or all technicalities or informalities in submitted proposals. No alterations or modifications to bids shall be allowed after bid opening.
