Solicitation Description:

The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to obtain information from engineering Firms as to

their qualifications to perform geotechnical engineering services at Morris Sheppard Dam.

Morris Sheppard Dam, owned and operated by the Brazos River Authority, was designed by Ambursen

Engineering Corporation and constructed in 1941 to form the Possum Kingdom Lake Reservoir. Morris

Sheppard Dam is located in Palo Pinto County, approximately 25 miles northwest of Mineral Wells,

Texas. Possum Kingdom Lake has a normal pool (El. 999 ft-msl) storage capacity of approximately

538,139 acre-feet and the spillway structure consists of nine (9) roof-weir gates.
