HHSC PCS is seeking competitive bids to establish contract(s) for MALDI Biotyper® sirius CA System, an in vitro diagnostic system which analyses protein fingerprint spectra (mainly ribosomal protein spectra) from isolated Gram negative, Gram positive and yeast bacterial colonies cultured from any patient specimen source suspected of bacterial infection using MALDI-TOF (matrix assisted laser desorption ionization–time-offlight) mass spectrometry technology. Analyzer to be configured for the tuberculosis identification for the research of the DSHS Laboratories in Texas.
