Excavator Repair



Sources Sought Notice: W912EF25RSS20





The US Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District is seeking sources to provide maintenance/inspection services and unforeseen repairs for a CAT 315D Excavator.



The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 811310 Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment (except Automotive and Electronic) Repair and Maintenance and the associated small business size standard is $12,500,000.





The contractor will perform an inspection on a CAT 315D Excavator. Prepare and submit an inspection report documenting the repairs needed. Obtain approval from the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) to provide repairs. Performance will be at a contractor provided facility.





After inspection, the contractor shall provide all necessary repair services on the operating pieces of heavy equipment including using OEM CATERPILLAR factory parts only which is a requirement to maintain Caterpillar equipment warranty. The technicians MUST be certified and have the credentials and training necessary to perform the work on Caterpillar equipment. The service company MUST be a certified CATERPILLAR OEM Service provider.

  1. A capability statement expressing interest in this requirement, describing your company and its capability to complete a project of this scope, magnitude, and complexity. Include a statement detailing any special qualifications and certifications (i.e. certification of Caterpillar technician/Service provider), applicable to the scope of this project, held by your firm and/or in-house personnel.






  1. A statement or list of your firm’s current or past technical experience/past performance similar to or the same as the summary scope of work for this requirement. Include a brief description of each project scope, schedule, and dollar value.






  1. Provide a statement of your firm’s business size (Large, HUBZone, Service Disabled Veteran Owned, 8(a), small disadvantaged, or woman-owned, etc.) with regards to the NAICS code listed above.






  1. Provide a statement that your firm intends to submit an offer on the project when it is advertised.






  1. Name of firm with address, phone, and point of contact.






  1. Cage Code and SAM Unique Entity Identifier.
